We needed new gutters as ours were as old as the house and when it rained, the water just poured over the sides. We had gotten several estimates from other gutter companies that were quite expensive but Shepherd & Sons came out to our house, evaluated our present gutters and gave us a very reasonable price. On the appointed day, the men arrived on time, got to work and made the gutters right on the property. They were very experienced and installation went smoothly and quickly and everything was cleaned up before they left and the cost was exactly what was estimated. It has rained several times since installation and no more rain water gushing over the sides. How long does a typical gutter installation take?
For most standard Maryland homes, we can complete a full seamless gutter installation in just one day. This includes the removal and disposal of your old system, on-site fabrication of your new gutters, and a final thorough cleanup. Larger or multi-story homes with complex rooflines may require additional time, which we will always specify in your written estimate.
Are the gutters made specifically for my house?
Yes. Unlike "sectional" gutters found in stores, our systems are roll-formed on-site using a specialized machine like the Ironman Gutter Machine. This allows us to create a single, continuous run of aluminum for each side of your home, eliminating the seams that are prone to leaking and sagging over time.
What kind of hardware do you use to attach the gutters?
We use heavy-duty Hidden Gutter Hangers with internal screws. These provide much stronger support than old-fashioned spikes and are completely invisible from the ground, giving your home a clean, modern look.
What is your cleanup process like?
We believe a job isn't done until your property looks better than when we arrived. We manually remove all old gutter debris and use magnetic sweeps to ensure no stray screws or metal shards are left in your driveway or landscaping.
